The greatest gift we can give our kids is uninterrupted time to develop a relationship with the natural world.
Most children in our culture have very limited exposure to nature, usually in highly managed settings. Gone are the days when a group of kids could just tumble out the back door and play in the woods for an afternoon. Today's kids need to be re-introduced to nature intentionally. They're shy. They're fearful. They don't know what they're capable of. We see it as our job to create occasions for young people to fall in love with the natural world.
